The Author

Ben Phillis is an avid sports fan and aspiring journalist. He has degrees from UNC-Chapel Hill and Wake Forest, but is prepared to put them to disuse to pursue a career in sports journalism. Personal sports highlights:

  • Attended Game 1 of the 2003 NLDS – watched Kerry Wood pick up a win and the Cubs eventually go on to the (tragic) 2003 NLCS.
  • October 16, 2006 – the famed MNF comeback by the Chicago Bears – it inspired Dennis Green’s rant, which inspired this blog’s title.
  • 2009 NCAA championship by the UNC basketball team.

Well-developed case for Lovie’s departure and a very clever title, but I perceive the writer appreciates Lovie’s work.
